Could using a ball thrower increase your dog’s risk of arthritis….and affect their mental health?

Can throwing a ball give your dog arthritis?

If you use a ball thrower, then now might be the time to, well, throw it away. Vets have found that flinging a ball for your dog to chase to the point of exhaustion, could be damaging their joints, leading to painful arthritis. And the adrenalin rush they experience chasing the ball could mean they can’t sleep, as cortisol floods their brain. So do your pet a favour with regular, but less strenuous exercise instead. Your pet – and their joints – will thank you for it in the end.
