The 11 million cats in the UK could be recruited in the fight against loneliness across the generations, says MP Steve Reed, co-chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cats (APPGC). The Group is consulting with animal charities, mental health organisations and private landlords on the way forward; including how to make it easier for all to own a fluffy feline.
