Feline fans in Japan – and no doubt around the world – will be happy to hear Japanese scientist Dr Toru Miyazaki has developed a treatment for Chronic Kidney Disease in cats. CKD affects nearly 30% of cats by the age of 10.
The treatment, which has shown promise in clinical trials, should be available next year. It could extend a cat’s life to 30 years…..equating to around 140 in human years.
