Our feline friends are as attached to us as dogs. According to a new study, cats left alone in a room for two minutes wanted to be close to their owner (servant?) on their return; and most meowed more often when their owner went away; seeking comfort when they came back. Says Dr Kristyn Vitale of Oregon State University: ‘The majority of cats use their owner as a source of security.’
