Is this what the cat world’s been waiting for?

A Taiwanese company is about to launch a ‘smart’ litter tray which can monitor a cat’s loo habits. Seven out of ten cat deaths are stool related, so the designers have come up with the idea of a tray that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to beam pictures back to a database to show if all’s well. If not, the owner is alerted.

The company behind the new tray – LuluPet – will launch the semi-enclosed litter tray in March. The cost? £120. Money well spent according the manufacturers, who believe it could help you cat to live a healthier life.
